Day 13 Advent Calendar

Day 13 is helping a friend with things around her house. We haven't had a chance to talk with this friend so she doesn't even know she won this! We actually had some things in mind to do for her and some of it has to be done in the spring so we will probably need to schedule this one for farther down the road.

However an update on some of the other days:
Babysitting for someone: We are doing it this Saturday for some sweet friends who are celebrating the wife's graduation. Yay for her hard work!

Toys for Tots: ZK dropped some toys off in the boxes today. So we can cross that one off our list.

Taking dinner to our friends: We are taking lunch there tomorrow for their movers and themselves.

The name for the day was Holy One. We started talking about what holy means and why he had to be holy. However they started asking other questions and we had quite a long talk about the Tribulation and Rapture, what our heavenly bodies will look like, and why we can't see God right now because His holiness is so radiant that it would kill us. We used the example of Moses' face glowing after God passed by him.

I am so enjoying this time with the kids and ZK. It has been such a sweet time of talking and sharing. To be quite honest this isn't something that we have ever done on a regular basis. I always had good intentions, but never followed through. This has been wonderful and something I really want to continue!

Have a wonderful Thursday!
