Day 5 Advent Calendar

Today was giving encouragement to others. This was one I was really looking forward to! It made me really stop and think about who is important in my life and do I really make them feel special and loved. Did I take the time to make sure that they knew they were loved and not just assume that they were.

Some of the kids took it very seriously and some just kinda half-heartedly did it. When I reminded them why we were doing it their attitudes changed and the day ended on a rather "sweet" note!

The name for the day was Prince of Peace. This was a really good discussion because we talked about why we don't have peace on earth if Jesus is the Prince of Peace. How we could find peace for ourselves in Christ and when there would finally be peace for everyone!
