Day 8 Advent Calendar

Day 8 is volunteer in the nursery at church. This is something that has to be scheduled so we haven't been able to do this yet. The kids love little ones so this will be one that won't take them to far outside of their comfort zone. Still we will be helping others and not focusing on us.

The name for today was Lamb of God. We discussed how before Jesus died they sacrificed animals, what kind of animals for what type of sacrifice, and how the sacrificial lamb had to be perfect and a beloved member of the family. We also talked about how hard it would be to sacrifice one of our own family memebers. It made the Lord's sacrifice of His son more personal to us.
